Boat Painting

The painting of the boat is now complete and it's looking great. We came up with an initial design and although it was a little bit different, it looks fantastic.

Narrowboat paint design

It is the first time we have used Carl at Customised Sign writing but we are more than impressed with his work. Every day another boat owner at the marina pops their head in to admire his work. Carl is a brush painter and a sign writer. Which is exactly what we needed on this job as we didn't want the painting to interrupt the fit out and didn't have any time before of after to accommodate the spray painting method. Carl was able to work along side our fitters. There was only one day where he needed there to be no dust in order to apply the final coat of paint.

Sanding between each layer of paint

The preparation work put into this job was second to none. There are lots of blue particles all over the workshop from Carl's endless sanding, to prove it.

Working long hours

Carl  really put the hours in on this, working through the night.

We are going to give it a bit of a polish next week before we post you the final pictures and show you the sign writing.

Carl has been a pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with him again on our next job.
