Today was the day, and what a beautiful one. The narrowboat and crane turned up at the yard on time, all hands were on deck to ensure everything went smoothly and the sun was shining with not a cloud in the sky.
Due to the narrow access to the workshop, the hull had to be put in the water and hand pulled 100 meters or so. The crane then met the hull at the workshop and lifted the hull back out of the water and into position. Unfortunately I had to leave before the second half of the operation, as my time was needed elsewhere. Armed with a list of materials to buy ready for work commencing tomorrow, I now look forward to the morning to see the hull in the workshop and get a closer look.
